Want to spend more time with your grandchildren?

In celebration of September as Grandparents Month, the Village Center is teaming up with Suburban Hospital to offer grandparents the chance to hone their babysitting skills. Taught by certified Safe Sitter instructors, participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. You will also learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages. In addition, life-saving skills addressing choking rescue, first aid, and injury management will be covered. The class will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Village Center. The cost is $50 for Village residents; $60 for nonresidents. A minimum of six is required to hold the class; the maximum is 12. Registration is required.
