Concert: Djangolaya

Djangolaya is a group of musicians in the Washington, D.C., area celebrating the musical styles that were pioneered by Django Reinhardt in Paris between the wars. Djangolaya is an acoustic jazz group with an international flair. Part French café, part New Orleans jazz, part Latin nightclub, Djangolaya draws on a wide range of musical influences to present a unique blend of old and new sounds featuring the vocals and violin of Jeanine Greene, Charlie Schueller on accordion, and acoustic jazz guitars. Djangolaya performs regularly at nearby wineries, festivals and dances.
