Village offers free CPR and defibrillator training

The Village Council has authorized the use of funds from a former scholarship to provide free CPR and defibrillator training for residents. Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in this country every year. Many of these deaths are preventable with the use of CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED). We have arranged three-hour certification classes at the Village Center with lifesaving training firm Rescue One. Village residents can sign up for any of the following dates: Thursday, April 11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, April 15, 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All classes are free. To register, go to the Village website and click on the Sign Up for Programs link.
