Suburban Lecture: Unlocking your thyroid health

Changes in energy, weight, and mood are often dismissed as “just a part of getting older,” but your thyroid might be the real culprit. Camile Stanback, M.D., endocrinologist from Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, breaks down the science of your thyroid gland during this month’s Suburban Lecture on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m.

You will learn how this small, butterfly-shaped organ controls your metabolism, how aging affects its function, and how to spot the signs of common conditions like underactive or overactive thyroid.

This lecture is a partnership between Suburban Hospital and the Friendship Heights Village Center.
