Movie: Penguin Bloom

This Australian heartwarming movie, based on a true story, won multiple nominations from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) in 2021 and stars Naomi Watts, Andrew Lincoln and Jacki Weaver. Samantha Bloom, wife and mother, suffers a life-changing accident. Her son is consumed by guilt and withdraws from her. A year later he brings home an injured magpie he hopes to heal. In turn, the bird’s recovery helps power Samantha to find new ways to thrive. Rated PG-13. Running Time: 1 hour, 35 minutes.
