Join us on Friday, March 20, at 2:30 p.m., at the Village Center as the Alzheimer’s Association presents “The 10
Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s.” This hour-long lecture, by Dr. William R. Leahy, helps caregivers recognize common signs of the disease in themselves and others and identify next steps to take, including how to talk to their doctor. Dr. Leahy is a board-certified psychiatrist, neurologist, and pediatric neurologist with more than 30 years of experience in the field of neurology. He now works on a part-time basis. He graduated from Princeton University in 1966, Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1970, and completed residencies in Chicago and at John Hopkins Medical University. The Alzheimer’s Association, a leading voluntary organization in Alzheimer’s care and support, promotes awareness of the latest research and news of the disease that affects more than seven million people in the United States alone. Registration required. To register, click on the “Sign-up for Programs!” button at the top of the page.
