Suburban Hospital returns to the Village Center for an in-person lecture on Wednesday, March 11, from 1 to 2 p.m., with a discussion on the vital role the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline plays in mental health support and crisis response. Learn how to recognize the warning signs that someone may need help, what to say and do to offer meaningful support, and what to expect when reaching out to 988. We will also explore how to use 988 as a resource for yourself and others — offering 24/7 crisis counseling, compassionate listening, and connections to local support services. This lecture is a partnership between Suburban Hospital and the Friendship Heights Village Center. Registration is required. To register, click on the “Sign-up for Programs!” button at the top of the page.
