Learn the basics of drawing weekend workshops

Holly Buehler, a long-time art instructor in Montgomery County, teaches the essentials of drawing with shape, form and shading techniques during a two weekend workshop. The first, Beginning Drawing 1, takes place on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Draw from still life or bring your own photos. Materials will be available for students to use during the class.

For those who want additional instruction, Buehler is offering a second workshop, Beginning Drawing 2, on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m.to 12 p.m.

The cost for each workshop is $30 for residents; $40 for nonresidents. Residents who sign up for both workshops pay $50; nonresidents pay $60. A minimum of six students is required. Sign up by Sept. 26. See page 2 for details.
