Friendship Gallery hosts hometown artists this month during “Neighbors,” an exhibit of work by artists living or working within the Village of Friendship Heights. The show opens Feb. 3 and runs through the end of the month, and features works by Jan Rowland, Carol Porter, Real Cipriano, S.D. George, Shruti George, Federica Giove, Allen Hirsch, and Amy Sabrin. Simultaneous to “Neighbors” in the auditorium, Lionel Lloyd’s gripping photographs will grace the walls in the hallways in honor of Black History. Lloyd is based in the Frederick, Md., area, and has created portrait and landscape work throughout the United States for many years. Meet the artists during a reception on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Village Center. The Village Center is
open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m. Art in the auditorium is occasionally not available for viewing because of activities in that room. Please check with the front desk upon arrival. All sales are final.
