Concert: Michael Arenstein Trio presents The Music of George Gershwin

Pianist Michael Arenstein brings his quartet including saxophonist Steve Lovecchio, vocalist Emily Perkins, and bassist Paul Langosch to the Village Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. Perkins is a featured soloist with the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors.

Langosch has toured and recorded with Tony Bennett, and performed with numerous jazz greats incluidng Mel Tormé, Jon Hendricks, George Shearing, and Rosemary Clooney. The quartet (piano, bass, woodwinds, and vocalist) will explore the great American composer’s prolific career, including its renditions of Gershwin’s works from the Jazz Age, Broadway and films, and Porgy and Bess. This evening promises to be both entertaining and memorable.
