Jody Marshall, a native of the Washington, D.C. area, grew up in a musical family, and has been performing and teaching the hammered dulcimer since 1988, in addition to being a founding member of the popular folk trio, Ironwood. Currently Jody performs with the award winning Celtic bands Moon Fire and Connemara. Her debut album, “Cottage in the Glen” was by the Maggie’s Music label in 2005. Ellen James took up the Celtic harp in 1989 after hearing and falling in love with it in Scotland. Since then, she has played gigs ranging from folk festivals to a sheep farm to the White House, both solo and with various bands. She is a former National Scottish Harp Champion (amateur division). Please see more details about these talented musicians in the Village News.
