Concert: Duo Soliste

Prize-winning Duo Soliste returns following acclaimed performances at Carnegie Hall and across the United States and Korea, including New York, Boston, Chicago, and the Los Angeles area. Violinist Ji Yun Lee has served as concertmaster of the Korean Philharmonic Orchestra and the Catholic Symphony Orchestra in Korea, while teaching as music faculty at the Catholic University. She currently serves as Chair of Strings for the Maryland State Music Teachers Association and is the leader of Ensemble Mosaic and Duo Soliste, actively performing and mentoring students in violin and chamber music. Pianist Minna Han enjoys engaging with audiences through her performances with Ensemble Mosaic and Duo Soliste. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Music, University of Suwon in Korea, where she also held the position of Chair of the Piano Pedagogy Program in the Graduate School of Music. She is currently a faculty member at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she continues to combine artistry and pedagogy in her work. The program will feature Beethoven’s ‘Spring Sonata’, Ravel’s sonata for violin and piano No.2, and other charming short pieces.
