Capture a child’s creativity with art and a story

Connie Boneo, a Virginia art instructor with more than 20 years experience, hosts a one-hour workshop for children ages 6 to 8, on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 11 to 12 p.m. at the Village Center. She’ll read Jan Brett’s Three Snow Bears and guide the children in a drawing exercise related to the story. After the story, the children will learn how to draw bears using basic shapes and lines. Finally, they will color their drawings using crayons. The cost is $15 per child. Children must be accompanied by a parent. A minimum of six students is required. Registration is required.
