Author discusses the movement behind the movie

Ellen Cassedy, founder and longtime leader of the 9 to 5 movement that began in Boston 50 years ago will discuss her new book, “Working 9 to 5: A women’s movement, labor union and the iconic movie,” on Friday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Village Center. Cassedy is a former columnist for the “Philadelphia Daily News,” where she wrote a column on “work from the worker’s point of view. She was a speechwriter in the Clinton administration and is an award-winning author of several books. More details in the Village News. Copies of the book will be available for sale.
