Art talk and demonstration explore the joys of numerous mediums

On Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m., Open Studio artists Margarita Caro and Susan King will discuss the joys and challenges of realist painting across four mediums — watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and oils — so participants can decide which might be best to begin their own creative journey.

At 12:15 p.m., Rachael Rice, also an Open Studio artist, will demonstrate Gelli printing, a versatile technique that uses a flexible gelatin plate to create unique, textured, and layered prints without a printing press.
