After-school service project opportunity at the Village Center

The Village is hosting an after-school service project for students on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to decorate pillowcases to be included in tote bags that will be donated in honor of International Women’s Month to women residing in the Interfaith Works Women’s Shelter and Helping Hands Shelter. The project is a collaboration between the Village of Friendship Heights and Wings for Joy, Inc. The Village Center is an authorized site for Montgomery County Public School Student Service Learning. Sign up to help through our website at www.friendshipheightsmd.gov. A second community service project will occur for all Village residents on March 9. Please see that entry, specifically, for details.
