Enjoy art, folk tales and ancient tea ceremony in May

The month of May celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. On Friday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m., join artist, poet and translator Nancy Arbuthnot for a program featuring folktales and watercolor illustrations for her manuscript of re-told folk stories from the Marshall Islands as well as her co-translations of poems by Vietnamese American poet Le Pham Le. Following the talk, Omotesenke will perform a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Omotesenke Eastern Region USA is a nonprofit organization which promotes tea ceremony culture and conducts educational programs in the United States.
