Be kind to your heart

We often associate the month of February with hearts because of Valentine’s Day. However, there’s another reason we should think about hearts in February: The month is designated as American Heart Month to advocate cardiovascular heath and raise awareness about heart disease. Dr. Craig Kumkumian, medical director in the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Suburban Hospital, will discuss the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and how you can prevent one during the Suburban Lecture on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. via Zoom. The talk is offered by Suburban Hospital in partnership with the Friendship Heights Village Center. To sign up, register through ActiveNet.
