See The Carpenter’s Songbook at the National Theatre

Few voices in pop history are as instantly recognizable, or as deeply loved, as that of Karen Carpenter. The Carpenters Songbook, a new musical event is coming to the National Theatre for one night on Saturday, Oct. 17, brings the icon’s extraordinary voice and the brother-sister duo’s unforgettable music back to the stage. We have orchestra seats for this beautifully crafted, all-new production from the creative team behind The Simon & Garfunkel Story. With a full band and heartfelt storytelling, this concert captures the warmth, emotion, and musical brilliance of The Carpenters, with songs such as “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Close to You,” and “Rainy Days and Mondays” with this heartfelt love letter to the quiet magic of Karen and Richard Carpenter.

We’ll depart from the Village Center at 6 p.m. and should return by 11 p.m.

The cost is $120 for residents. The cost increases to $135 after Oct. 1. Registration for residents begins immediately. Nonresidents pay $135 and may sign up beginning Oct. 1. Come in to the Village Center to register.
